Prayer of St. Augustine

Breathe in me O Holy Spirit,
that my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me O Holy Spirit,
that my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart O Holy Spirit,
that I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me O Holy Spirit,
to defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit,
that I always may be holy.

Amen.

We oversee the spiritual growth and development of the entire school community – students and staff. This is fostered through daily prayers, organizing liturgies (mass, prayer services), caring for the our school Chapel of St. Ambrose, care of the Blessed Sacrament ( in the tabernacle), organize retreats for staff through a student and staff driven Chaplaincy Council and preparation of the school for observing the Church liturgical year. We work in partnership with all classes, committees and groups within the school that seek our services.

Along with these duties, the Chaplain and /or a student peer may act as a counselor to any person in need of “an ear to listen”, offering words of comfort, encouragement and/or assist the individual in finding a solution to a problem.
